The Ruger American Rimfire in 17 HMR pairs a 16" cold hammer-forged threaded barrel with a flat dark earth synthetic stock, giving small-game hunters and rimfire shooters a trim package that handles suppressors and flat-shooting varmint loads. The 1/2-28 threaded muzzle opens the door to cans and compensators without aftermarket work. A 9-round rotary magazine feeds flush with the stock, and the Power Bedding integral bedding block lets the free-floating barrel do its job.
Ruger's Marksman Adjustable trigger breaks from 3 to 5 pounds with a crisp pull, and the receiver is drilled and tapped with a factory Picatinny rail for quick optic mounting. The short bolt throw and 60-degree handle clear low-mounted scopes, and the stock accepts interchangeable comb modules for length-of-pull and cheek weld adjustments. 17 HMR delivers explosive terminal performance on prairie dogs, rockchucks, and coyotes out past 150 yards, and the light recoil keeps follow-up shots fast.
