Ruger American Gen II Wilderness TOPO 7mm PRC 20" 3rd Rifle

The 7mm PRC is a modern magnum built around long, heavy 7mm bullets and slow burning powder, and it has taken over a lot of the ground that used to belong to the 7mm Rem Mag. In a 20" barrel you trade a little velocity for a rifle that handles like a mountain gun, and the factory radial port brake on the threaded muzzle keeps recoil civil enough to spot your shot.

The Generation II American underneath is Ruger's improved platform: a cold hammer forged spiral fluted barrel, a one piece stainless bolt with a 70 degree throw, and the Marksman Adjustable trigger the owner can set. The stock has an adjustable length of pull with a removable spacer and a low comb that comes out when a bigger scope goes on, which matters more on a magnum where a consistent cheek weld does half the work. A three position tang safety allows unloading with the striker blocked, and a Picatinny base is included. Capacity is three rounds.
