Ruger American Gen II Predator Wilderness TOPO 300 Win Mag 22" 3rd Rifle

300 Win Mag remains the default American magnum for elk, moose, and long shots on open country mule deer. In the Generation II Predator it gets a 22" cold hammer forged barrel with deep spiral flutes, a threaded muzzle, and a radial port brake installed at the factory that takes a real bite out of the recoil.

The Gen II stock matters more on a magnum than it does on a mild cartridge. Length of pull adjusts with a removable spacer so the rifle still fits in heavy clothing, the low comb lifts out for the taller rings a big objective scope needs, and the soft rubber recoil pad does its share of the work. Ruger's Marksman Adjustable trigger lets the owner set the break, the one piece stainless bolt clears optics on a 70 degree throw, and the three position tang safety allows unloading with the striker blocked. Capacity is three rounds. Burnt bronze metalwork over a green splatter stock finishes it off, and a Picatinny base is already on the receiver.
