The Ruger 10/22 Carbine in 22 LR with a satin stainless steel 18.5" barrel is the modern take on the rifle that taught generations of shooters the basics. The lightweight polymer stock has M-LOK slots at the 6 o'clock position, textured panels on the pistol grip and forend, and integral sling swivel mounts, so customers can run a bipod or sling straight out of the box. A gold bead front sight pairs with a folding rear leaf for quick iron-sight shots on squirrels or plinking targets.
The BX-Trigger breaks at a crisp 2.5 to 3 pounds, a huge upgrade from the original 10/22 trigger and a key reason this carbine shoots better than its price tag suggests. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optic mounting, and a 10-round rotary magazine runs flush with the stock. Satin stainless barrel construction resists rust in wet conditions. 22 LR ammo stays cheap, recoil is nil, and the 10/22 platform has more aftermarket support than any other rimfire rifle on the market.
