Rock Island Armory Youth 12 GA 24" 5rd Shotgun

Rock Island Armory built this 12 gauge for younger and smaller shooters who are ready for a real field gun. It is a semi auto with a 24" barrel, a 3" chamber that also handles 2 3/4" shells, and a 5 round magazine. The receiver is aluminum to keep weight down, and the black synthetic stock and forend are fixed, with a rubber cheek piece on the comb. The shorter barrel and compact stock make it easier for a youth shooter to mount and swing than a standard length field gun.

Three choke tubes come with it: Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder. That covers clays, upland birds and turkey with one gun, and the semi auto action soaks up some of the 12 gauge kick that can turn a new shooter off the sport. Synthetic furniture and a black finish hold up to rain, mud and the back of a truck. If you are starting a young hunter, or you just want a handy 12 gauge with a shorter length, this one gives you room to grow into it.
