About the Retay ACE-R 28 GA
A 28 gauge semi auto is a specific kind of gun for a specific kind of shooter, and the ACE-R is Retay's version of it. The 28" deep bore drilled barrel and 3" chamber sit on the Inertia Plus operating system, so recoil runs the action and there is no gas system to service. In a 28 gauge that matters twice over, because the whole point of the gauge is a light gun that does not beat you up, and an inertia action keeps the parts count and the weight down.
Up front there is a single fiber optic bead. Out back the ACE Standard stock comes in Realtree Legacy with a shim kit for drop and cast and 14.5" of pull. The safety is oversized and reversible and the trigger group comes out by push button. Magazine capacity is 3, and a full set of extended chokes from cylinder through full plus a waterfowl tube comes with the gun. Weight is listed at 7 lbs 4 oz. For quail, doves, clays or anyone who has decided they are done being punished by a 12 gauge, this is the gauge that makes shooting fun again.
