Retay ACE-R 20 GA 26" 3rd Walnut Shotgun

The 20 gauge ACE-R with a 26" barrel is the configuration most people reach for when the hunt involves more walking than sitting. Weight stays modest, the balance sits back toward the hands, and the gun comes up without having to be muscled into position. Walnut and a black receiver keep it looking like a field gun rather than a piece of equipment.

Retay builds the ACE-R receiver without plastic components and runs the Inertia Plus rotating bolt behind it. Inertia actions cycle off recoil instead of tapped gas, so there is no piston to carbon up and no gas ports to clear, and the rollover torsion spring widens the band of loads the gun will run. The barrel is deep bore drilled, chambered for 3" shells, with a forcing cone lengthened at the factory. Six extended tubes handle the constriction, cylinder up to full with a waterfowl long range tube. Retay's easy out magazine feature lets you empty the tube without working live shells through the action. Pull is set at 14.5" and shims tune drop and cast, the AIRY pad handles felt recoil, the oversized safety reverses for left hand shooters and the trigger group is push button removable. The magazine holds three, weight is 7 lbs 4 oz.
