Retay ACE 20 GA 28" 3rd Walnut Shotgun

The Retay ACE runs on inertia rather than gas, which keeps the receiver clean and the gun light in the hands. Retay calls the system Inertia Plus, and the rotating bolt uses a rollover torsion spring in place of the plunger spring most inertia guns rely on. That change is what lets a 20 gauge cycle lighter 3" loads without the fussiness inertia actions sometimes get blamed for. The 28" barrel is deep bore drilled and dead straight, with a factory lengthened forcing cone that takes some of the shove out of heavier hulls and helps patterns open evenly.

Walnut furniture against a black receiver puts this one squarely in field gun territory - dove fields, early season quail, a walk through the hedgerows. The AIRY recoil pad takes another bite out of what the inertia system leaves behind, and the shim kit in the box lets you move drop and cast around the 14.5" length of pull until the rib sits where your eye already is. A single fiber optic bead rides the vent rib. The oversized safety button flips to the other side for left hand shooters, and the whole trigger group drops free at the press of a button. Six extended chokes cover cylinder through full plus a waterfowl long range tube. The magazine holds three.
