Retay ACE 20 GA 26" 3rd Walnut Shotgun

Short barrel, small gauge, wood stock - this is an upland gun by any reasonable reading. The 26" barrel keeps the ACE quick between the hands for grouse in thick cover or quail that flush at your boot, and the 20 gauge chambering means you can carry it all day without your shoulder keeping score. Walnut furniture against a black receiver finishes the picture.

The action is inertia driven rather than gas operated. Retay's Inertia Plus rotating bolt uses a rollover torsion spring, which broadens the range of loads the gun will cycle and leaves the receiver free of the carbon a gas system pumps back into it. The barrel is deep bore drilled with a forcing cone lengthened at the factory, chambered for 3" shells. Six extended choke tubes come with the gun - cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, full and a waterfowl long range tube - so the same barrel can be tightened up for a late season field. A single fiber optic bead sits on the rib. The stock gives 14.5" of pull, and shims in the box adjust drop and cast. The oversized safety reverses for left hand shooters, and the trigger group comes out with a push button. The magazine holds three rounds and weight is 7 lbs 4 oz.
