Neck sizing suits a lever gun cartridge loaded for one rifle: less brass gets worked each cycle, and the case keeps the shape of the chamber it came out of. If the brass gets shared between two rifles, a full length die is the safer tool, since a neck sized case is fitted to the rifle that fired it. Set the crimp with care on a tube fed gun, because a bullet that moves under recoil in the magazine will change everything about how the round shoots.
