Q Sugar Weasel 300 BLK 16" 10rd CA Compliant Rifle

Q's Sugar Weasel is the plain version of the company's 300 Blackout carbine. Aluminum receivers, an M-LOK handguard, a Picatinny top rail, a 16" barrel, and Magpul style furniture, with none of the exotic parts the rest of the catalog is known for. That is the appeal. Q builds the rifle light and puts the effort into the barrel and the fit rather than into features nobody uses, and the result handles like a much shorter gun than the barrel length suggests.

300 Blackout was made to run short and run quiet. Subsonic loads behind a suppressor are what the cartridge is famous for, and supersonic loads hit hard inside 200 yards, which covers most of what a carbine gets used for. This one is the California compliant configuration, so it comes with a 10rd magazine and is set up for states that cap capacity. The M-LOK handguard takes a light and a hand stop where the shooter wants them, the SL-K stock adjusts for length, and the grip matches. There is nothing on this rifle that needs to be swapped out before it goes to the range, which is unusual at any level and is exactly what Q was going for.
