The PTR Vent Spiritus is the Spiritus edition of PTR's flow through 5.56 can, built with Inconel construction for the shooters who run carbines the hardest. The Vent design routes gas forward and out rather than back through the receiver, which keeps the bolt carrier cleaner, the ejection pattern saner, and your eyes clear on fast strings. Inconel internals give it the thermal headroom to live on a short barreled gun that sees serious round counts. At 6 inches long and 1.625 inches in diameter, it keeps the package compact and the handling balanced.
The FDE finish matches the earth tone builds the Spiritus crowd favors, and the 5.56 rating covers 223 Rem hosts as well. Low back pressure cans have become the standard for hard use carbines for a simple reason: the gun runs better and the shooter shoots better when the gas goes forward.
