About the PTR VENT 1 7.62mm
The PTR VENT 1 is a 7.62x51mm rifle suppressor and it does not work the way a conventional can does. Instead of a stack of baffles, PTR 3D prints the whole thing as one monolithic titanium piece using what they call Purposely Induced Porosity: the structure itself is porous, and gas expands into that architecture rather than bouncing off baffle cones. PTR's argument for it is lower back pressure and a smaller muzzle signature than a traditional design gives you.
Less back pressure is not just about comfort. It means less gas coming back at your face on a gas gun and less fouling driven into the action, which shows up as a rifle that stays running longer between cleanings. The monolithic titanium build also spreads heat well under sustained fire, and PTR rates the can for full auto and for rifle calibers up to 7.62x51mm. This one is finished in flat dark earth and the body is HUB compatible.
