Proof Research Steel Drop In Barrel AR 15 223 Wylde 18 In 1 7 Twist 1 2 28

The Proof Steel Drop in Barrel for Rifle Gas System AR-15 Compatible Firearms 223 Wylde 18" 1:7 Twist 1/2-28 from Proof Research blends precision engineering with cartridge-specific performance through its Caliber Matched Gas System (CAMGAS), delivering a tuned gas system that aligns with the original AR design intention while accommodating high-performance cartridges. Designed for the AR-15 platform and compatible with 223 Wylde applications, this 18-inch barrel features a 1:7 twist and 1/2-28 threading to optimize stability and velocity for modern calibers, reducing muzzle rise and recoil impulse while minimizing fouling in the receiver. By adjusting the port location, CAMGAS maintains consistent gas pressure aligned with the platform's intended dynamics, resulting in smoother shooting, improved reliability of extraction, and less wear on brass during extended sessions. This drop-in barrel enables shooters to leverage advanced cartridges without sacrificing accuracy or durability, supporting precise shot placement in hunting, competition, or precision plinking. Built to endure the rigors of demanding field use, Proof Research's steel barrel combines rigidity, heat resistance, and long-term consistency, helping you stay on target and maximize performance across a range of AR-15 configurations.
