PROOF Research PXT Pre-Fit Barrel Zermatt Origin 7mm PRC 20" Carbon Fiber

7mm PRC in a 20" carbon fiber pre-fit, cut for the Zermatt Arms Origin action. The PRC case was built around long, heavy 7mm bullets and modern slow powders, and it gives up surprisingly little in a short barrel, which is why 20" has become the default length for suppressed builds in this cartridge.

It is a shouldered pre-fit, so it goes on with a torque wrench and a headspace check instead of a trip to a gunsmith. The Sendero contour would be heavy in steel; wrapped in carbon over a match grade core it is not. PXT rifling ramps the twist up gradually through the bore, cutting the force it takes to engrave a bullet and buying back throat life in a cartridge that burns a lot of powder per shot.
