Proof Research Pre-Fit Barrel Tikka T3x 6mm CM 18"

An 18 inch 6mm Creedmoor pre-fit for the Tikka T3x. Short barrels have taken over precision shooting for a reason that has nothing to do with fashion: less length to swing through brush, less weight hanging off the front, and a rifle that balances between the hands instead of out ahead of them. You trade some velocity against a longer tube, and 6mm Creedmoor gives up less of it than most cartridges do.

The barrel arrives cut to Tikka shank and thread spec with headspace already set, which turns a rebarrel into a barrel nut, a wrench, and a gauge check at your own bench. Proof Research runs these through the same process as the barrels that go on custom rifles. Eighteen inches and a mild cartridge is a combination that gets carried a lot more than it gets left in the safe.
