PROOF Research Pre-Fit Barrel Q Fix 6mm CM 18" Carbon Fiber

A pre-fit for Q's The Fix, chambered in 6mm CM at 18" and threaded 5/8-24. The Fix was built as a takedown bolt gun with a quick change barrel system, so putting a new chambering on it is a bench job rather than a gunsmithing job, and this barrel is cut to drop straight in.

6mm CM is a flat shooting, low recoil match round that lets a shooter watch impacts through the scope, which is exactly what a light rifle needs. PROOF turns a match grade steel core down thin and wraps it in aerospace carbon fiber, giving a barrel that resists heat and holds zero as it warms. The muzzle is cut 5/8-24 for a can or a brake, and the chamber and shoulder are already finished, so nothing about the install needs a lathe.
