PROOF Research PR15 PXT 223 Wylde 16" 1:8 Carbon Fiber Barrel

Same 16" carbon fiber build as the rest of the PR15 line, cut with the slower of PROOF's two 223 Wylde options. A stainless core is turned down and wrapped in aerospace carbon, so the barrel keeps the stiffness of a heavy profile while carrying far less mass out front. Heat leaves it quickly, which is what keeps point of impact honest through a long string.

The Wylde chamber feeds 5.56 NATO and 223 Rem safely. PXT rifling gives the bullet a gradual entry into the lands rather than an abrupt one, which cuts engraving force and pushes throat erosion further down the round count. PROOF's own testing puts the gain in barrel life in the 30 to 100 percent range.
