Proof Research Elevation 2.0 7mm PRC 20" 3rd Midnight Camo Rifle

The Elevation 2.0 is Proof Research's lightweight hunting rifle for the recreational hunter, and this build pairs 7mm PRC with a 20 inch barrel. That barrel is a Sendero contour, carbon fiber wrapped match grade tube, threaded at the muzzle so a brake or a can goes on without a trip to a gunsmith. Wrapping the barrel in carbon takes weight off the heaviest part of the rifle and gives the barrel more surface area to shed heat, which shows up on the third and fourth shot when you are confirming zero before a hunt. The action is a Zermatt Arms Origin, fed through Hawkins Precision BDL bottom metal cut to the M5 inlet, and a TriggerTech trigger sets the break.

The stock is Proof's own fixed carbon fiber shell in a Midnight camo pattern, and the black receiver carries a Picatinny rail so glass mounts without hunting down a separate base.
