About this product
Proof Research built this PR15 barrel for 6mm ARC AR-15 builds. It is 18" long with a rifle+1 length gas system, a .750 gas journal and a 1:7.5 twist for the long 6mm bullets that make the cartridge shine at distance. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 and the contour is medium.
Under the carbon fiber wrap is a stainless steel core that has been turned down and then wrapped, so the barrel stays stiff without the weight of a steel bull barrel.
