Every cleaning job ends somewhere a patch cannot go. These swabs carry an oversized cotton head on a six inch wooden handle, long enough to reach into a receiver, down a magazine well or around a trigger group without taking the gun any further apart than it already is.

The cotton is thicker than a drugstore swab and actually holds solvent instead of shedding it across the bench, so it lifts the sludge out rather than pushing it deeper into a corner. Fifty to a pack, which is about right, because a dirty rifle goes through a handful of them in one sitting.
