The MK107 MOD 2 is the shortest gun in the PWS MK1 MOD 2-M line, a 300 BLK short barrel rifle on a 7.75 inch barrel finished in OD Green. PWS builds it around their long stroke piston system, which is the feature the company has built its reputation on. The upper and lower receivers are fully forged.
The handguard free floats and uses PWS's patent pending PicLok system, so Picatinny and M-LOK accessories both mount directly without swapping rail sections or stacking adapters. PWS also deleted the forward assist, flared the magwell and built the trigger guard into the lower rather than pinning a separate one on. Those are the changes you notice with the gun in your hands rather than on a spec sheet, and they are what separate the MOD 2-M from the rest of the PWS lines while the core of the gun stays the same. At 7.75 inches in 300 BLK with an OD Green finish, this is the compact end of the line, put together for work in tight spaces.
