Muddy DV8 Stonewool 200 Merino Hoody Peat Moss 2X

Stonewool 200 is the merino layer in Muddy's DV8 system. The blend runs 80 percent merino wool and 20 percent nylon at a 200 weight, which is enough to wear on its own on a 50 degree morning and thin enough to sit under a jacket when the temperature drops.

Merino is the reason to buy it. Wool holds warmth when it is damp and does not sour after a few days of hard use the way a synthetic layer does. Flatlock seams keep the stitching flat against skin under a pack strap, thumb holes hold the sleeves down when you pull a jacket over the top, and the hood adds cover for your head and neck on a cold sit.
