Mossberg Patriot 30-06 Sprg 22" 5rd OD Green Rifle

The 30-06 is the cartridge every other American hunting round gets measured against, and it earned that by doing a little of everything for over a century. This Patriot pairs it with a 22" fluted barrel, a matte blued finish, and the OD Green synthetic stock from Mossberg's green run. The fluting is functional, cutting weight and giving the steel more surface area to dump heat. Mossberg's user adjustable trigger is the feature that separates this rifle from most in its class, since the pull can be tuned without a gunsmith.

Factory 30-06 loads run from 125 grain fast movers up to 220 grain bullets for heavy game, and every shop stocks something in the middle. That range is why the round outlasted a dozen intended replacements. A 5rd detachable box magazine feeds it, the bolt handle is streamlined to sit clear of a low mounted scope, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped so mounting glass is a bases and rings job and nothing more. Sling swivel studs are already fitted. It is a plain rifle in the best sense: nothing on it is there to be looked at.
