Maxim Defense PDX SPS 5.56 NATO 5.5" 20rd Pistol

The PDX SPS is the Maxim Defense PDX with the SCW Pistol System in place of the SCW stock or brace. Maxim calls it their most streamlined back end for an AR pistol: no protruding angles, nothing to snag, and at 5.3 ounces it is more than 10 ounces lighter than the SCW stock. A rear single point QD swivel mount is built in, which is a good spot for a sling. This one is chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 5.5" barrel and an overall length of 18.75", and it feeds from a 20 round magazine.

Like the rest of the PDX line it uses a direct impingement gas system and a raised top rail that puts an optic at a comfortable height. The handguard is M-LOK, and the Maxim HATEBRAKE muzzle device reduces recoil for a smoother shooting gun. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28. Familiar AR controls include an ALG Combat Trigger and an ambidextrous safety and charging handle, and it comes optics ready with a black polymer grip. It weighs 5.1 lbs. If you want the shortest, cleanest PDX for a vehicle or a slung carry setup, the SPS is the version built around that idea.
