Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX 50 AE 6" 7rd Pistol

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX in 50 AE is the pistol most people picture when they hear the name. Magnum Research builds this version with a carbon steel barrel, frame and slide in black, a 6" barrel and a 7 round magazine. It is a gas operated semi auto with a rotating bolt, a system closer to a rifle than a typical handgun, and that is how it handles a cartridge as big as the 50 Action Express.

The trigger is single action, and ambidextrous safeties come standard. A Picatinny style rail runs the length of the barrel from the chamber to just behind the front sight, ready for single slot optic mounts, while the fixed combat sights work out of the box. The frame has a beavertail and the grip panels are black rubber, shaped for a two handed hold. Weight is about 4.4 pounds with an empty magazine, and that mass is a big part of why the recoil of a 50 caliber handgun stays manageable. One magazine is included. This is a big, heavy pistol made for range days, handgun hunting and collections rather than daily carry, and few handguns have as much history on screen in movies, television and video games.
