Lee Precision 6.5 PRC Micrometer Bullet Seating Die

A Lee Precision micrometer bullet seating die for 6.5 PRC. The micrometer thimble is laser engraved and reads in thousandths of an inch, the way a depth micrometer does, so a seating depth becomes a number you can write down and return to.

Used as a dead length seater, the die body contacts the shell holder, and that contact is what sets seating depth off a fixed reference instead of off the ram stroke. Sliding bullet guides hold the bullet straight on the way in, which Lee's own testing points to as the reason for low runout on finished rounds. Adjustment is infinitely variable across the range, so a change of bullet or lot is a dial in rather than a teardown.
