This load carries 1oz of #7.5 Diamond Shot in a 2.75" 20 gauge hull. Dropping to the smaller pellet size buys you a much higher pellet count in the same payload weight, which fills a pattern in tight and suits quail, dove, woodcock and early season birds that flush inside 30 yards.

Diamond Shot is harder than standard lead and polished smooth, so fewer pellets flatten under setback and the pattern comes out even instead of blown open through the middle.
