KelTec R50 Defender 5.7x28mm 9.6" 50rd SBR

The KelTec R50 Defender is the short barreled rifle version of KelTec's R50 carbine, the rifle counterpart to the P50 pistol. R50 stands for Rifle, 50 rounds, and it feeds from a 50 round magazine in 5.7x28mm. The 9.6 inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and wears the flash hider from KelTec's RDB Defender. Because the barrel is under 16 inches, it is an NFA regulated short barreled rifle.

The side folding stock rests on either side of the grip when folded, which keeps the package compact for a vehicle or case. The receiver has over 7 inches of Picatinny rail up top for an optic or accessory and 2 inches of rail underneath for a light or grip. Utility sights adjustable for windage and elevation come on the gun, there is a QD sling cup just above the magazine release for a single point sling, and an AR style charging handle makes manipulation familiar. A manual safety is standard. The 5.7 cartridge brings high velocity with very little recoil, and the threaded muzzle lets you swap the flash hider for another muzzle device.
