Kaw Valley Precision Thread Adapter 1/2x36 to 1/2x28

A steel thread adapter that takes a barrel cut to 1/2x36 and gives it 1/2x28 muzzle threads. That is the fix for a 9mm barrel with the older 1/2x36 pattern when everything on the shelf, from flash hiders to direct thread cans, is cut 1/2x28. Rather than rethreading a barrel or hunting down a device in the odd pitch, the adapter threads on and the problem goes away.

It measures 1.35 inches long with a 0.75 inch outside diameter, so it adds a short section of straight body ahead of the muzzle. Kaw Valley rates it for projectiles up to 9mm diameter, which covers 9mm, 380, and 22 caliber hosts. Check that your barrel has enough shoulder for the adapter to torque against before installing.
