Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comp 450 Bushmaster 11/16-24

A linear comp does one job: it takes the muzzle blast a big bore AR throws sideways and pushes it forward, downrange and away from you and whoever is standing at the next bench. On a short barreled 450 Bushmaster the difference is obvious the first time you shoot next to someone.

Kaw Valley Precision machines this one from steel with a corrosion resistant black finish. Forward gas ports do the directing, and wrench flats let you install or index it even when it sits partway under a handguard. Threads are 11/16-24, the standard pattern on 450 Bushmaster barrels. It is not a recoil reducing brake, it is a concussion redirector, and it makes the rifle far more pleasant to shoot around other people.
