Iver Johnson 1000 Tactical 410 Bore 18.5" 5rd Shotgun

The Iver Johnson 1000 is a 410 built on a revolver action rather than a pump or a self loader. Five shells sit in the cylinder and each trigger pull indexes the next one, so there is no forend to work and no gas system to keep clean. The chamber takes 3" shells and the 18.5" barrel keeps overall length manageable for a long gun. Three removable choke tubes come with it, so the same gun can throw a tight pattern for small game or open up for close work.

The tactical configuration adds a Picatinny rail across the top of the receiver, which is where this gun makes the most sense. A red dot on a 410 that fires five shells without a manual cycle is a fast, low recoil setup, and the rail means the shooter is not stuck with whatever sights the factory fitted. The trigger is double action with an exposed hammer, so it can be thumbed back for a lighter single pull or run straight through. Metal is finished in matte black chrome, and a manual safety lock sits at the receiver. It is an unusual layout, and that is most of the appeal.
