Hornady Varmint Express .17 Hmr Vmax 17 Grain 200 Rounds

The Hornady Varmint Express .17 HMR with 17gr V-MAX bullets delivers high-velocity performance—rated at 2550 fps—that hunters and range shooters will notice through a flat trajectory and consistent downrange accuracy, making it an excellent choice for varmint work and pest control where quick, reliable expansion and maximum energy transfer matter. As part of Hornady's Varmint Express line, this ammunition pairs the aerodynamic V-MAX profile with consistent rimfire ballistics to reduce wind drift and tighten group sizes at extended small-game distances, so you spend less time adjusting and more time on target. In practical terms that means cleaner terminal performance on ground squirrels, prairie dogs and similar targets, confident follow-up shots during control operations, and predictable point-of-impact for load development and training. Hunters and shooters who value velocity, repeatability and the reputation of Hornady will find this .17 HMR option well suited to precision varminting, long-range rimfire practice, and situations where rapid expansion and energy transfer are critical to humane, effective results.
