Horizon Firearms builds custom grade hunting rifles in small numbers, and the Venatic DM shows where the modern mountain rifle is headed. Chambered in 25 Creedmoor — the quarter bore take on the Creedmoor case that pushes sleek .257 bullets fast enough for honest cross canyon work — it wears a 22" Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped barrel, threaded at the muzzle and finished in SOCOM black. Carbon fiber barrels shed weight where rifles carry it worst, out front, without giving up the stiffness that accuracy demands.
The receiver matches in SOCOM black with a Picatinny rail for optics — built around Horizon's ultralight, hyper-polished Stiller Wombat action — while the folding magnesium XLR Element 4.0 chassis comes in OD green Cerakote with an integrated Arca rail for tripods and bipod clamps. Carbon fiber carries into the Smoke grip and buttstock. DM means detachable magazine feeding for fast reloads in the field. This is the crossover formula — chassis rifle stability, hunting rifle weight, and a cartridge that splits the difference between 6.5mm efficiency and .25 caliber punch.
