Horizon Firearms Venatic Carbon 2 6.5 Creedmoor 22" Ember Drift Rifle

Horizon Firearms started as a Texas custom shop building rifles one work order at a time, and the Venatic Carbon 2 carries that DNA into a standard model. This one is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, the cartridge that made long range hunting mainstream on the strength of mild recoil and excellent downrange performance. The barrel is a Proof Research carbon fiber unit, 22" with a threaded muzzle, wearing SOCOM Black alongside the receiver.

What makes the Venatic Carbon 2 a hunting rifle rather than a range queen is the furniture. The iota EKO stock is carbon fiber, finished in Ember Drift, shaped for a solid cheek weld behind a scope without the weight penalty of laminate or walnut. Below the forend runs a full Arca rail, so the rifle drops into a tripod clamp for glassing country where prone is not an option. A Picatinny rail on the receiver takes whatever scope mount you already own. It is the kind of rifle that gets carried far and shot little, and it rewards both halves of that bargain.
