Horizon Firearms Vandal 2 7mm PRC 22" OD Green Rifle

The 7mm PRC is the cartridge a lot of hunters moved to when they wanted magnum reach without a belted case and without a 26" barrel, and the Vandal 2 is a sensible home for it. Horizon kept the sporter grip and the traditional lines here rather than going to a chassis, so it shoulders like the hunting rifles most people learned on. The Timberline Iota BKS stock carries an ARCA rail down the forend, which is the modern part: clamp a bipod anywhere along it, or drop the rifle straight onto a tripod head at the top of a glassing spot.

Barrel length is 22", short enough to carry and still work on a 7mm PRC, with skip dash fluting to cut weight and a threaded muzzle for a brake or a suppressor. The receiver is topped with a Picatinny rail so there is no shopping for bases, and both the barrel and receiver carry a mil spec OD Green finish that hides handling marks better than a polished blue job. It feeds from a detachable box magazine and is built right hand. For elk, deer at distance, or anything where a hunter wants one rifle to reach past four hundred yards, this configuration covers it.
