Henry H1 Sporter Carbine 22 LR 16.5" 13rd Walnut Rifle

Two inches shorter than the H1 Sporter rifle, the Carbine trades a little tube capacity for a package that swings faster in tight cover. The barrel is 16.5 inches of round blued steel, threaded 1/2-28, which is the whole point of the gun for a lot of buyers. A 22 LR with a can screwed on is about as quiet as shooting gets, and a lever action does not care whether the ammunition is subsonic, which is where most semi auto rimfires start choking.

Henry left the iron sights off and put an integrated Picatinny rail on the aluminum receiver, so glass goes on with standard rings. The American walnut stock uses a checkered pistol grip and a Monte Carlo comb that lines your eye up behind a scope. Capacity is 13 rounds of 22 LR through the tube, and the chamber also accepts 22 Long and 22 Short for 14 or 18 rounds. Weight sits just over five pounds, which makes it an easy rifle to hand to a new shooter and an easy one to leave behind the seat of a truck.
