Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 223 Wylde 16" 30rd Battleworn American Flag Rifle

Great Lakes Firearms builds this AR-15 around a 16" heavy profile barrel chambered in 223 Wylde, a chamber that feeds both 223 Remington and 5.56 NATO without asking the shooter to compromise on either one. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 and a muzzle brake is included. A 15.25" M-LOK handguard covers the barrel almost to the brake and carries a full length Picatinny rail across the top, so irons, a dot or a magnifier all have somewhere to sit.

The receivers are aluminum and the rifle runs a carbine length gas system off a .750 gas block, with M4 feed ramps. The safety is not ambidextrous, the grip is a standard polymer unit and the stock collapses along the buffer tube for length of pull. The finish is what sells it: a battleworn American flag Cerakote, a distressed red, white and blue treatment, and Great Lakes calls it their bestselling rifle. One 30rd magazine comes with it. As a semi auto rifle it is a straightforward working gun wearing a paint job worth looking at.
