The Flagstaff is molded from impact resistant polymer, which is why it survives being strapped to a pack frame and dragged through rock. It is weather resistant and holds its shape through a season of temperature swings instead of drifting like wood.

What makes it useful is the Universal Mini Chassis pocket. One stock takes short or long action Remington or Howa barreled actions and others in the UMC lineup, so a shooter can move between rifles without buying a new stock every time. The forend runs long with textured finger grooves for off hand shooting, and the length of pull is 13.5". This one wears the Sonoran pattern.
