The Dual Action Outdoorsman is Galco's field holster for full size double action revolvers, molded here for the Colt Python and the Ruger GP100 with a 4.25 inch barrel. It carries the gun on the strong side belt at a working height, high enough to clear a truck seat and low enough to get a full firing grip before the revolver moves.

Leather formed to the specific revolver holds the gun by friction, which keeps the draw quiet and quick. Belt loops keep the rig from shifting around during a day of walking. This is a trail and field holster more than a concealment rig, the kind of thing that lives on a hip during deer season or a hike where a 357 is the answer to whatever shows up.
