The GX-56 is one of the biggest cases G-Shock builds, and this version keeps it simple with a matte black finish on the resin case and band. Tough Solar charges the watch from sunlight or room light, so there is no battery to swap out on a schedule.

The case is built to shrug off impact from any direction and is sealed against mud and grit, which is what put this model on the wrists of people who work outdoors for a living. A high brightness LED backlight makes the display readable in the dark, and the oversized buttons still work with gloves on.
