Smaller pellets mean more of them, and that is the argument for #4 steel in a 20 gauge. Over decoys inside 30 yards the extra pellet count fills holes in the pattern that bigger shot leaves open, so birds that catch the edge of the string still come down. Federal loads it to 1400 fps behind a full ounce of steel in a 3" hull.

The load was developed alongside Rob Roberts and his Raptor choke tubes, so the pellet hardness and wad were picked to survive a tight constriction without blowing the pattern apart. Teal, wood ducks and timber hunting are where this one earns its keep. Sold as a 25rd box.
