Federal Heavyweight Tss 12 Gauge Tungsten Super Shot 2 1/4 oz 5 Rounds

The HEAVYWEIGHT TSS from Federal Premium delivers a conversation-worthy step up in long-range turkey performance, combining a 12 gauge, 3.5 in. 2 1/4 oz. load with No. 9 Tungsten Super Shot to push lethal energy out to distances where lead falls short; with a tungsten-alloy density of 18 gm/cc—about 22% denser than common tungsten and 56% denser than lead—you get markedly higher retained velocity and terminal energy, and pellet counts that can be up to double those of lead No. 5 loads of equal weight, which translates to tighter, more consistent patterns on gobblers at extended range. The FLITECONTROL FLEX wad's rear-braking design runs cleanly through ported and standard turkey chokes, stabilizing the shot column for dependable patterning, while a listed muzzle velocity of roughly 1200 fps helps maintain downrange effectiveness. Hunters who stalk timber edges, cut cornfields, or set up long-shot decoy spreads will appreciate how the HEAVYWEIGHT TSS series extends practical shot range without sacrificing pattern density, and the use of No. 9 shot offers a high pellet count that increases hit probability on the thin, vital-zone targets presented by turkeys. Federal's load is a go-to choice for serious turkey hunters seeking proven downrange performance.
