The Colt 1911 Government Classic keeps the original recipe intact: a 5" barrel, steel frame and slide, and Colt's signature single action trigger. This Bright Stainless version is one of the flashier configurations Colt still produces, with polished flats catching light across the slide and frame while the serrations stay matte for grip. Chambered in 38 Super, it runs a faster, flatter cartridge than 45 ACP while still feeding from classic 1911 magazines, and the 9 round capacity gives a meaningful edge over traditional 45 ACP single stacks.
Controls are pure 1911 Government: thumb safety, grip safety, spur hammer and a stainless serrated trigger breaking cleanly on a single action cycle. Low profile fixed rear and staked front make up the sighting system with a three dot layout, and diamond checkered rosewood panels dress the grip frame in a period correct look.
