Cimarron Bisley 44-40 WCF 4.75" 6rd Revolver

The Bisley grip was Colt's answer to target shooters in the 1890s: a longer backstrap that sits lower and fills the hand, paired with a low, wide hammer spur that is easy to reach. Cimarron's Bisley keeps that layout on a single action revolver chambered in 44-40 WCF, one of the original frontier cartridges. This model has a 4.75" barrel and a six round cylinder.

The frame is color case hardened on the Pre-War pattern, with a blued barrel and walnut grips. Fixed sights keep the profile clean and snag free. At about 43 oz it is heavy enough to stay steady on target, and 44-40 recoil is mild in a gun of this weight, which keeps long practice sessions easy on the hand. The 4.75" barrel is the classic carry length: quick out of a holster on a Cowboy Action stage and still balanced for aimed fire. For collectors, the Bisley is the less common variation of the 1873 pattern and a strong companion to a standard grip frame revolver in the same caliber.
