Cimarron Doc Holliday Side Hammer 12 GA 20" Shotgun

Cimarron's Doc Holliday shotgun is a side hammer 12 gauge double patterned after the short coach gun Virgil Earp handed Holliday before the 1881 fight at the O.K. Corral, the same style of cut down double made famous by the movie Tombstone. The name Doc Holliday is engraved in script on the side plate, so nobody at the loading table will mistake it for a plain coach gun.

The twin 20" barrels are blued and chambered for 3" shells, and there are no interchangeable choke tubes to lose. The receiver, hammers and breech block wear a color case hardened finish against a checkered walnut field stock. The exposed side hammers are cocked by hand before each shot, the way the originals ran, which gives the gun a deliberate, period correct rhythm. At 37" overall and about 7.2 lbs it is short and quick to mount, so it suits the shotgun stages of a cowboy action match as well as a place of honor in a collection of Old West replicas. Shooters who like their guns with a story attached will find few doubles with a better one.
