This is the Buckmaster Limited Edition Mesa FFT in 300 Winchester Magnum, and the weight savings matter more here than on any other rifle in the line. The FFT carbon fiber sporter stock takes pounds off a magnum hunting rifle without turning the forend into a noodle, and it wears the black and orange Buckmaster finish. The 22 inch barrel is stainless steel in a #4 contour, free floating and hand lapped, and the muzzle is threaded so a brake can tame the recoil or a suppressor can cut the blast.

The action is spot bedded into the stock for repeatable bedding contact, the stainless receiver is drilled and tapped, and a TriggerTech trigger sets the break. The skeletonized bolt handle is a small thing until you are cycling it fast on a second shot. As a cartridge, the 300 Win Mag remains the default answer for elk, moose and big country where a shot can stretch out, and a 22 inch barrel keeps the rifle handy in timber instead of hanging up on brush.
