Caldwell Rock BR2 Front Shooting Rest

The Rock BR2 is Caldwell's benchrest grade front rest, built for the shooter who wants the rifle to sit still so the group on paper says something about the load instead of about the hold. The iron frame gives it the mass to stay planted under recoil, and the elevation and windage adjustments are fine enough to walk the crosshair onto the aiming point rather than nudging the whole rest and starting over.

Three leveling feet with steel spikes bite into a wooden bench or a gravel pad, and removable rubber caps keep it from chewing up a concrete range bench. Pair it with a rear bag and the rifle stops being a variable during load development. It is heavy on purpose - this one lives in the truck, not in the range bag.
