Cadex CDX-MC Kraken 338 Lapua Mag 27" 5rd Rifle
Cadex CDX-MC Kraken 338 Lapua Mag 27" 5rd Rifle
Product Details
Cadex built its name machining chassis systems for military and police precision programs, and the CDX-MC Kraken is what happens when the company builds the whole rifle. Chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum, it runs a 27" match grade threaded barrel finished in black DLC — a coating chosen for hardness and corrosion resistance rather than looks. The receiver wears the same treatment and carries a Picatinny rail up top for magnum rated optics. Rounds feed from a 5rd detachable magazine.
The MC in the name is literal: a patented barrel change system converts the Kraken between short and long action calibers, with minimal point of impact shift when the same barrel comes off and goes back on. The chassis is pure Cadex: an M-LOK handguard for accessories, and an adjustable folding buttstock that dials in length of pull and comb height, then folds to shorten the package for transport. The 338 Lapua cartridge holds supersonic flight well past 1,500 yards, which is exactly the class of shooting this rifle was built for. The threaded muzzle takes a brake or suppressor without gunsmithing. For shooters stepping up to serious extreme range work with a single purpose built rifle, the Kraken makes a strong case.
