About the Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed
7mm PRC has taken over a lot of western rifle racks, and the X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR is a sensible platform for it. The 20" barrel is short for a magnum, which is the whole point: fluted to hold weight down, sporter contour to stay quick in the hands, and threaded under a radial muzzle brake so a can goes on without stretching the rifle past what fits behind a truck seat. A thread protector comes in the box.
Browning finished the barrel and the drilled and tapped steel receiver in Smoked Bronze Cerakote. The Vari-Tech composite stock wears Mossy Oak Bottomland camo and adjusts three ways: length of pull, comb height, and grip angle. Getting comb height right matters more than most shooters admit, because a scope sitting high over a bolt gun needs real cheek support to shoot the same way twice. The rotary magazine drops free and holds 3 rounds. With the brake in place, recoil stays reasonable for a cartridge pushing heavy for caliber bullets at magnum speed. It is a mountain rifle that does not punish the person carrying it.
